What the audience sees: A metal ball rests on a small base. A cloth is thrown over the ball. The ball floats up and around in a mysterious way. Next it vanishes and again comes back to rest on top edge of the cloth. Suddenly it peeks up behind the performer's shoulder and finally back to rest on the base on the table.
There are many variations to the routine, as described in the book included in the sale, which is the best reference work on this magical effect. For stage presentation, not close up or surrounded.
£60 including "Al Schneider on Zombie" (1981)
Please note that the cloth is ripped so not perfect.
The Zombie Floating Ball illusion was invented in the late 1930s by
Joe Karson in the USA. He patented the method in 1940.
