Fairground artwork
The collection. Past and present.
Probably from a rifle range or similar side stall. Thought to be 1930s, this is in it's original superb paintwork. It's big - about 11' long. Provenance unknown. |

This is the central section of the Sport sign. Stunning! |
Janey O'Connor usually paints wagons. Her scrollwork is legendary! This tile is specially for us (Goddard's Amusements). |
Love this gag board, whih seems to be based on a seaside postcard. Loved this so much that it became our logo! |
Twin to the "laugh a minute" gag board. These were often hung from the swifts (rafters) of sidestalls and rides. |
This shows some of the decorative work on my old living van. No longer in the collection, sadly. |
Other peoples' stuff...
If any of these images are copyright, my apologies. Let me know and I'll take them down or acknowledge your copyright.
This artwork includes the Hall and Fowle branding. Fred Fowle really made this sort of artwork his own trademark. |

This is similar to Fowle's work but I have a feeling it came from Carters' Steam Fair. |
No idea where I took this pic! |
Nice simple game, beautifully decorated. |
